1. What’s the best thing about being a personal trainer?
Helping my clients to move better, build strength & feel more confident in themselves both inside & outside of the gym.
2. Which fitness goal is your favourite? why?
Performance goals every time! Nothing beats watching a client get stronger and more confident in their lifts. Also, for the majority of people, focusing on the number on the bar instead of the scale tends to shape & build the body of their dreams at the same time!
3. What do your clients say about you?)
Probably that they don't understand what I'm saying most of the time! Due to my accent...
4. How do you stay motivated?
I don't, there are days that I don't feel like training just as much as anyone else. Motivation, to me, is a fallacy. Instead, I set myself goals, create a plan to get me there and proceed to tick the boxes off one day at a time. Creating a routine with habits that support what you are working towards will take you much further on the path towards your goals than motivation ever will.
5. What would you say to someone thinking about joining the Strength Agenda?
The Strength Agenda is a great training facility for all ages & stages of training. The community spirit is second to none that I've experienced in any other training space. It has all the equipment required to build a strong, mobile body along with a strong team of coaches with a vast array of experience. Put it all together & no goal is unattainable at the strength agenda.
6. Something people would be surprised to know about you?
I didn't start training in the gym until I was in my 30's, I'm 40 now.
